Chiraq: 7 dead and at least 44 wounded over weekend

The final weekend of July was another bloody one in Chicago--seven people were murdered at least 44 others were wounded. All of the murders took place on either the South or West Sides, including two in the Austin neighborhood.

There were 65 homicides in Chiraq last month. While that is fewer than the totals for May and June, murders are up 44 percent in 2016 over last year.
