1 dead and 7 wounded in 90 daytime minutes in Chiraq

For nearly 90 minutes--between 6:10pm and 7:38pm--one person was shot to death and another seven people were wounded in Chicago. Three of those attacked are in critical condition--and no one, as is usually the case, is in custody for these shootings.

The fatality is a 26-year-old Englewood man who was shot after two assailants appeared in a gangway.

As sunset was 8:23pm last night in Chiraq all of these shootings occurred during daylight.
