Rahm has just 18% approval rate, 51% of Chicago voters want him to quit

Chicago from Solidarity Drive
The ongoing Laquan McDonald police scandal is taking a major toll on the popularity of Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel. According to a poll of likely Chicago voters conducted by the Illinois Observer, the Tiny Dancer has a lowly 18 percent approval rating and 51 percent of those polled want Rahm to resign.

To pay for Chicago's massive unfunded pension debt--most of which was built up during fellow Democrat Richard M. Daley's 22 years of running the city into the ground--Rahm and the Chicago City Council imposed the highest property tax hike in the city's history.
