John Sununu, the first White House chief of staff under the first president Bush, told Newsmax TV that if Donald Trump is the Republican nominee for president, the GOP will not only lose the presidency, but also the US Senate and the House of Representatives.
George H.W. Bush's first nominee to the US Supreme Court was the now-retired David Souter. It was Sununu who assured Bush that the New Hampshire jurist was a conservative. However, Souter quickly situated himself within the liberal camp at SCOTUS.
