Remember, these overpaid edu-crats are working "for the kids." They're not in it for the money.

From ABC 7 Chicago:
Ex-CPS CEO Barbara Byrd-Bennett has been indicted on federal corruption charges that she intends to plead guilty to, according her attorney.

"As the U.S. Attorney's Office indicated at its press conference today, Barbara Byrd-Bennett will plead guilty to charges in the indictment. As part of accepting full responsibility for her conduct, she will continue to cooperate with the government, including testifying truthfully if called upon to do so," Byrd-Bennett's attorney Michael Scudder said in a statement.

Byrd-Bennett, 66, hand-picked by Mayor Rahm Emanuel and hired in 2012 to oversee the beleaguered public school system, is charged "with using her position atop the Chicago Public Schools to award lucrative no-bid contracts to her former employer in exchange for bribes and kickbacks" according to Fardon.
Chicago Public Schools' bonds are rated as junk. Heckuva job, Barbara.

Remember, Chicago is President Obama's hometown.
