Robert Gibbs once served as a press secretary in a White House administration--Barack Obama's--that continues to excoriate fast food restaurants. So what does McDonald's do? It hires Gibbs. While filling in for Rush Limbaugh today, Erick Erickson called it right--Gibbs hiring is the result of a shakedown.

It's a signal to liberals still in power to leave McD's alone--they are paying off one of their pals.
