(Photos) Cow parsnip

Cow parsnip is one of the tallest wildflowers--and of course its blossom is massive--almost 6 inches wide.


The ones I found this week at Morton Grove's Wayside Woods are over five feet high.


 A similar looking species, the invasive giant hogweed, is quite toxic.


These are harmless.
