(Video) Ronald Reagan Library Berlin Wall Hyperlapse

Today is the 70th anniversary of V-E Day--marking the end of World War II in Europe. One can argue that the Cold War began that day--it had definitely started when the Berlin Airlift commenced in 1948.

Thirteen years later the Berlin Was was erected by the Communists. But because of the efforts of Ronald Reagan--the West won the Cold War and the Berlin Wall was demolished.

"Yes, across Europe, this wall will fall," Reagan said in his 1987 Tear-Down-This-Wall speech, "For it cannot withstand faith; it cannot withstand truth. The wall cannot withstand freedom."

Imagine what Europe would look like if the Anglo-American invasion of Nazi-occupied France never occurred. There would be no freedom in Europe today.
