Ex-head of Michigan Islamic college sentenced to death on Egyptian terror charges

You can't keep a good man down, I guess.

From the Detroit Free Press:
The former president of the Islamic American University in Southfield was sentenced to death today in an Egyptian court for his role in the Muslim Brotherhood.

Salah Soltan, a former Dearborn resident who led the Islamic university in Southfield from 1999 to 2004 and is a leader in the Muslim Brotherhood, was convicted for his leadership role in the Islamist group. He was an active preacher in the Muslim Brotherhood, often speaking in mosques and on media outlets.
Soltan's son, Mohamed, was sentenced to life in prison today by the same judge. AP reports that the younger Soltan campaigned for Barack Obama.
