The best times to take a picture of a small lake are on windy days and dead calm days.
This photograph was taken on the latter type of day last week. It's Big Bend Lake, a Des Plaines, Illinois borrow-pit. The clouds seem to meet the lake here.
Tomorrow I'll have a photo of another borrow-pit on a windy day.
