He is wrong. Way wrong.
From Katie Pavlich of Townhall:
Last night Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration Russell George and Deputy Inspector General for Investigations Timothy Camus updated the House Oversight Committee on the status of Lois Lerner's "missing" emails surrounding the IRS targeting of conservatives.
In an exchange with Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH), Camus revealed there is "potential criminal activity" involved in the disappearance and hiding of emails belonging to IRS officials involved in the targeting of conservatives between 2010 and 2012.
"There is potential criminal activity," Camus said.
Last year Obama told Fox News' Bill O'Reilly that there was "not even a smidgen of corruption" in regards of the IRS scandal. The IRS targeting of conservative groups hampered their effectiveness during the 2012 presidential election--arguably tilting the race to the Obama-Biden ticket.
To be fair, when people think major scandal, they are thinking more along the lines of Cheney committing treason by outing a CIA agent, or Bush and Cheney realizing their dreams by trumping up a case for war against Iraq, or simply ignoring the daily briefing that warned of the 911 attack. Going further back, there is the trading of arms (expressly illegal, an impeachable offense)to the Iranians for hostages to fund fascists in Nicaragua by Ronald Reagan.(Where are those weapons today? Are they or have they been used against America? Most likely they have.)
ReplyDeleteThe targeting of conservative groups (both conservative and con groups were targeted for abuse of tax exempt status) arguably tipped the election? LOFL! That's classic!
Swaying the outcome of an election by illegal activity is not criminal?
ReplyDeleteAre you calling the Supreme Court criminal for appointing Shrub? That's interesting.
