The day after I saw snow on Halloween, the Climate March ended.

What, you didn't hear about it? Global warming activists walked the continent, from Los Angeles to Washington, to sound the alarm about climate change.

From the Des Moines Register:

While organizers initially hoped 1,000 people would take part in the march, only a few dozen walked along at any one time, and five took every step from California. Dozens of others toiled in supportive roles. Thousands of people greeted the activists along the way, offering them warm meals, a place to sleep and encouragement.

Jeffrey Czerwiec, 33, a Des Moines resident who quit his job at a restaurant to join the walk, said the march itself isn't what is going to last.

"What's really important are the conversations that we've had with people on the side of the road, in coffee shops, at our events, at rallies," he said. "Those conversations, that's what's going to last and that's what going to build the movement even stronger."

Uh, no.

And just five walked the entire route.
