A week after conceding: Quinn finally calls Rauner

AP called the Illinois governor's race for Republican newcomer Bruce Rauner around 10:30pm last Tuesday, but incumbent Democrat Pat Quinn refused to concede until the next evening--and in his terse speech the Chicagoan didn't even mention Rauner's name.

On Veterans Day both spoke at the Veterans Day service at Soldier Field--but not to each other.

However, AP reports that Rauner and Quinn spoke on the telephone today--it was the first time Quinn called Rauner since before the election.
