Quinn on self: "I do the right thing all the time." Quinn on Blago, He "does the right thing all the time."

When questioned last week about whether, as Republican gubernatorial candidate Bruce Rauner says, Chicago Democrat Pat Quinn is running for Rod Blagojevich's fourth term by ABC 7 Chicago's Charles Thomas, part of the governor's response was, "I do the right thing all the time."

But Blago's two-time running mate had this to say about the now-federal inmate shortly before the 2006 election, when Illinois voters foolishly reelected the Blagojevich-Quinn ticket, "He's always been a person who's honest and one of integrity…I have confidence the governor does the right thing all the time."

Illinoisans need a clean break from the past. The Land of Lincoln has had way too much of what the Democrats call "the right thing."
