ILL-inois: Credit outlook downgraded to negative

"Put on earth" to do what?
Over two years ago Illinois' inept governor, Chicago Democrat Pat Quinn, said he was "put on earth" to fix the state's pension crisis. Well, Quinn's delayed rescue faces a dicey legal future, so Standard & Poor's downgraded the Prairie State's credit outlook from "developing" to "negative."

Quinn's office, which is likely staffed by people dumber than he is, blames the General Assembly for passing "an incomplete budget." One party rule has destroyed Illinois. The Democrats have super-majorities in both chambers and they still can't accomplish anything but destruction.

The Land of Lincoln's credit rating, A-, is the lowest of the 50 states.
