Illinois' hapless governor, Pat Quinn, through a spokesperson says he's fine with the state providing accommodations for some of the Central American illegal aliens who have recently crossed over our porous southern border.

"If a location is needed we are prepared to aid the federal government in finding a suitable one," a spokesman for the Chicago Democrat said.

ILL-inois has too many problems already. They include over $5 billion in unpaid bills, $100 billion in unfunded pension debt, and an unemployment rate that is much higher than the national average.

It's interesting that Quinn, who has been calling press conferences since he anointed himself a gadfly consumer advocate in the 1980s, didn't shout out his intentions in front of a gaggle of television cameras. Also, the news was released on a Friday afternoon--a typical dumping ground for announcements that will incite controversy.

Quinn is a coward.

As for the alien children from Central America, the best thing we can do for them is to send them back home.
