Bloody Chicago: 4 dead and 14 wounded in 12 hours

Every day it becomes apparent that the abatement in shootings in Chicago a few months ago had much more to do with brutally cold weather and not better policing.

Here's the latest evidence: In a 12 hour period that ended early Sunday morning, four Chicagoans were shot to death and at least 14 others were wounded all over the city.

Although Los Angeles and New York have have a larger population--much larger in the case of NYC--Chicago regularly tops the other two in annual murders.
