(Photo) 1998 Chevy Corvette Indy 500 pace car

The 98th running of the Indianapolis 500 will take place on Sunday. Every year an official pace car is designated. This year it's a Chevrolet Camaro Z/28.

In 1998, another Chevy was the official pace car, a Corvette convertible. A limited number of them were produced by General Motors, including this one that I found Sunday in Algonquin, Illinois.
