50 Democratic senators want Redskins to change their name

Illinois is now "Chiefless"

While the Obama White House is fighting off several scandals--Benghazi, IRS targeting of conservative groups, and VA Waiting List, 50 Democratic senators have found time to write a letter to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell asking that the Washington Redskins change their nickname because they say it is racist. 

If I called a Native American a redskin to his face, yeah, that'd be racist. But after over eighty years as a team name, Redskins--note the capital "R" has become so devalued that it infuriates only liberals and a few Indian activists.

I'm a graduate of the University of Illinois. Our mascot, Chief Illiniwek, offended the same type of loudmouths and no one else. He's been "retired."

Mark my words: If the Redskins are compelled to change their name, the Kansas City Chiefs will be next on the libs' list
