Watch Mitt Romney speaking in January of 2012 as he declares that Russia "was without question our number one geopolitical foe." Later that year, Romney remarked, "Obama's 'reset' policy toward Russia has clearly failed."

Romney brought up the Russian menace at a 2012 presidential debate, but the imperious Obama mocked him by replying, "The 1980s are now calling to ask for their foreign policy back because the Cold War's been over for 20 years."

But Vladimir Putin never believed it ended.
