What has voting Democratic for decades done for Chicagoans? Among other things, it has foisted upon them runaway energy bills and a pension debt that is worse than Detroit's.

Why the spike in energy prices? No power will come from coal, but five percent of Chicago's energy will come from unreliable and expensive wind farms.

Thank God I moved to the suburbs 15 years ago this May.
