Mount Reagan may still rise in Nevada

Reagan statue, Dixon, IL
Since last year conservative activist Chuck Muth has been toiling to have the highest peak of Nevada's Frenchman Mountain named Mount Reagan, after our 40th president. But Rep. Dina Titus (D-NV) pulled a card from up her sleeve--Harry Reid style--and derailed his effort by introducing a bill to name the summit after a onetime Silver State lieutenant governor.

Frenchman Mountain is just outside of Las Vegas and its famous Strip, where the future president once performed.

But a Republican member of the Nevada congressional delegation, Joseph Heck, introduced a bill on the 103rd anniversary of the Gipper's birth, to rename a lower peak on Frenchman after Ronald Reagan.

Click here to track the progress of Heck's bill or to contact your local member of Congress and express your support for Mount Reagan.
