(Photos) Idaho wheat fields

Idaho if of course famous for potatoes, but it is also a leading wheat producing state. Here are some photographs that Mrs. Marathon Pundit took during her trip west in mid-August.

Several types of wheat are grown in Idaho--durum, soft-white, hard-red, and hard-white.

Sting had a song entitled "Field of Gold."

A paler variety of wheat.

It's time for a close up.

Idaho Route 32 is also part of the Teton Scenic Byway.

And there are the Grand Tetons. And amber waves of grain.
