Wisconsin: 19 teachers unions disband, on top of other school unions

Part of Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker's union reform bill included a provision that members of public-sector unions would have to recertify themselves annually.

Nineteen teachers unions voted to disband and well as many other school related unions. Of 408 education unions in America's Dairyland, 70 voted to fold up their tents.

Very few workers actually vote to join a union. Rather, they take a job at a union shop that has been so for decades. They are compelled to join the union and have dues taken from every paycheck.

At least in the public-sector in Wisconsin, workers have a choice.
