(Photos) Storm clouds and a double rainbow over Morton Grove, IL

Severe storms passed through the northern half of Illinois this afternoon. Much of Washington, near Peoria, was leveled by a tornado. High winds and heavy rain clobbered the Chicago area--including Morton Grove--which is where I live.

I went out for a run during the storm with my camera--yes, I'm crazy.

That's Lincoln Avenue facing west.

A solitary oak tree watches over the Miami Woods Prairie.

About a mile north, storm clouds roll in at the Linne Woods Prairie.

Facing south from the same vantage point.

Notice the blue-tinted clouds on the lower left.

And a half-hour later--there was a double rainbow gracing Morton Grove.
