Valley Forge: Runner fined, 20 others cited by Obama's NPS goons

The proper greeting for a runner
The Obama-cized National Park Service is now cracking down on runners. Of course if the government was really shut down, NPS rangers wouldn't be able to walkers and runners.

From the York Daily Record:
The National Park Service says it has cited 20 people for violating a closure order at Valley Forge National Historical Park.

The park, near Philadelphia, is closed amid the federal government shutdown.

The Park Service says runners and walkers have gotten only warnings, while those cited drove past barricades or blocked entrances.

Marathon runner John Bell of Chadds Ford says he did neither when he parked his car Sunday in a lot along state Route 23, which bisects the park and remains open. He plans to challenge his $100 ticket.
Bell has run a marathon on every continent--but has a special love for Valley Forge, one of the most hallowed places in our nation.

From CBS Philadelphia:
"From a safety standpoint, I like running down there, along with the scenery," he says.

But on Sunday, Bells says there were two rangers waiting with their car lights flashing when he returned. They slapped him with the $100 citation.

While Bell says he knew that national landmarks were closed, he didn't realize Valley Forge would be affected.
Maybe Pennsylvania should be managing Valley Forge instead.
