Governor for four years--Quinn blames predecessors for high Illinois jobless rate

Governor Pat Quinn has been mis-running Illinois for four years. The state has the nation's second-highest unemployment rate. Last week he refused to take responsibility for this scar on the state.

From ABC 7 Chicago:
A question about Illinois' 9.2-percent jobless rate, which is nearly two percentage points higher than the national average, put the governor on the defense.

"I did not create this problem, I inherited it from previous governors. My job is to straighten it out," Gov. Quinn said.
How many years has Quinn been governor again?

As for his predessors, twice Quinn was Rod Blagojevich's running mate.
