Welcome back, Carter: Solar panels back on White House roof--but what about Keystone XL?

Rather than approve the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline, which, with along with fracking, can allow America to tell the Saudis to go to hell, Barack Obama is reaching into the tired Jimmy Carter playbook by installing solar panels on the roof of the White House.

The energy produced by those panels, which were installed three years after Obama said they'd be, may not even be strong enough to power the president's teleprompters.

But those panels are symbols--and liberals love them.

Ronald Reagan had Carter's panels removed early in his first term.

Of course if Obama really believed in solar energy, he'd have them placed on the roof of his Chicago mansion--at his expense, of course.
