History being destroyed: University of Chicago tear-down of Reagan home underway

Author at the Reagan
home in 2011
Soon there will be nothing left of the only Chicago home of Ronald Reagan. The University of Chicago has already torn down half of the six-flat where "Dutch" lived in 1915.

Many thanks are due to those who helped spread the word about the effort to save the home. However, the false story that the Reagan apartment would be torn down to make way for a parking lot for the Barack Obama presidential library--caused great harm to the cause. That library could end up being in Hawaii.

But it's the University of Chicago who is the villain here. What a bunch of maroons, as Bugs Bunny--no friend of eggheads--would say.
