Friends of President Reagan's Chicago Home gives an update

Reagan apt, 2011
Mary Claire Kendall is the go-to source for information on saving the only Chicago home of President Ronald Reagan. Kendall gives an update on the efforts to preserve the Hyde Park six-flat, including how to donate funds to Friends of President Reagan's Chicago Home, Inc, a group that she is the acting president and CEO of.

Oh, did you know that the Gipper's first trip away from Washington was to Chicago to attend a labor event? It was there that Mayor Jane Byrne gave Reagan a framed photograph of the apartment at 832 E. 57th Street.

Also, Wednesday is the 102nd anniversary of the birth "Dutch" Reagan.
The annual birthday party will occur at the birthplace in Tampico, Illinois.
I was there in 2011 for the centennial celebration.
