Not for the kids: Teachers play hookie to attend union protest

Three Rivers, Michigan

Michigan Capitol Confidential is reporting that at least 26,000 teachers will play hookie today and miss school. Because of the mass absences, classes will be cancelled in two school districts.

The teachers are headed to Lansing to protest the right-to-work bill that is expected to be signed into law later today.

Are these teachers for the kids?
