Multiple local media sources are reporting that US Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. has resigned his congressional seat. Junior is facing a federal investigation of campaign fund expenditures and he has been treated twice this year for depression.
Presumably the Jackson family will now move back to Chicago. Jackson's wife, Sandi, is a member of the Chicago City Council.
