Cook County morgue: First hundreds of bodies pile up, then loafing employees caught

Illinois' dysfunctional Cook County government has a predictably dysfunctional morgue. Over 300 bodies had piled up there--some corpses were doubled up on platforms--before the deceased finally received the decent burial they deserved.

Now comes news that a surprise inspection of the morgue discovered improperly stored documents, a sleeping worker, and two others watching Bruce Lee movies.

One party rule--the Democrats have ruled Cook County for over 50 years--has its disadvantages.
