Fitting: Chicago area liberal speed dating party at Capone's Hideout

How fitting: Tonight there will be a liberal speed dating event in Niles, which is just north of Chicago. Exactly where? Capone's Hideout, a watering hole on Milwaukee Avenue.

Since 1972, 29 Chicago aldermen have been convicted of crimes, all but one of them were Democrats. Two of Illinois' three living felonious governors are Democrats.

Most recently, a Chicago state representative, Derrick Smith, was expelled from the General Assembly after being indicted for taking a bribe. He's on the November ballot--and he will probably win.

But let's not forget Niles. Its former mayor-for-life, Nicholas Blase, a Democrat, served a prison term for extortion.

So lovebirds, you should have plenty to talk about at the Hideout.
