Jesse Jr. was was being treated in Arizona, now at Mayo Clinic

Don't look for Junior here.
The Jesse Jackson Jr. saga continues. Some more news trickled out about the South Side Chicago Democratic congressman this evening. Citing unnamed sources, the Chicago Sun-Times is reporting that he was being treated--but not for alcoholism--in Arizona until Wednesday. So half of the July 12 Andrea Mitchell report that the Jackson camp denied was true. At that time, his office said that Junior was being treated for an unspecified "mood disorder." However, two weeks passed before his staff bothered to acknowledge that Jackson was under medical care.

So, Junior is at Mayo being treated for, I guess, a mood disorder. The office isn't saying.

Yeah, Junior has a right to privacy, but as a public official, he should realize that his constituents are owed a clear answer as to what is going on.

UPDATE 10pm CDT: The Sun-Times just reported that Jackson's treatment is centered on "extensive inpatient evaluation for depression and gastrointestinal issues."
