Higher education bubble: National Louis University laying off 60-80 staffers

Instapundit regularly tolls the bell for what he rightly calls the Higher Education Bubble. A big pop is occurring here in the Chicago area. National Louis University, which in addition to its Illinois facilities has campuses in Wisconsin, Florida, and Poland, is laying off 60 to 80 staffers, the Chicago Tribune is reporting tonight.

NLU is a not-for-profit college. Its enrollment, at least at its downtown Chicago campus, is 1,480 undergraduates, according to US News & World Report.

Will university professor soon be one of those professions that parents warn their kids to stay away from because of the poor job prospects?
