GM halting production of lemon Chevy Volt for five weeks

One of the center pieces of the Government Motors bailout and President Obama's dream to "transform America," the Chevrolet Volt electric car, has been parked for a while. The Detroit Free Press says that they are "still seeking to align our production with demand" and production has been halted for five weeks.

GM sold just 603 of the lemons with the flammable batteries--even with a generous government subsidy.

Two car dealer friends have told me that as soon as they 'finally get rid of' a Volt, GM forces them to take another one.

GM is laying off 1,300 Volt workers.
