Trial in Egypt for LaHood son, 15 other Americans, delayed until April

While they are not being jailed, the 16 American pro-Democracy activists who face charges of espionage and encouraging unrest in Egypt--one of them includes Sam LaHood, the son of the Transportation Secretary, they can't leave the country either.

Middle East governments, especially Islamist ones such as Egypt, respect strength. President Obama, who bowed to the Saudi king in 2009, projects weakness.

The trial of the Americans and 27 other activists was supposed to have started today, but it has been pushed back to April.

Will we have a hostage situation develop?
