Minor victory on cigarette taxes in Cook County, Illinois

There was a minor victory of sorts in regards to cigarette taxes in Cook County. I suspect that county commissioners are reading my blog--cigarette taxes, because some smokers quit, buy their cigarettes elsewhere--or yes, even smuggle them, the revenue forecasts for these new taxes never match what actually is collected.

So Cook will only expand the tobacco tax to cigars and loose tobacco. But as WGN Radio reports, "The cigar business feels picked on."
