Video: August Reagan centennial ceremony at Yankee Stadium

In August, former Chicago Cub and current New York Yankees manager Joe Girardi was presented with a Ronald Reagan centennial bat in honor of the our 40th president. While working for WHO Radio in Des Moines, Dutch was a broadcaster for the North Siders--and the White Sox too--with the aid of a telegraph machine.

Girardi grew up in Peoria, Illinois--twenty miles west of Eureka College--where Reagan earned his economics degree. Also on the field for the ceremony was former Reagan speech writer Peggy Noonan.
