Friday news dump: Rahm caught lying, he knew about Solyndra loan

Chicago's Northwest Side
A Friday news dump of documents regarding the Solyndra scandal contains at least one pearl: e-mails show that then-White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel was enthusiastic about the Solyndra deal and thought it could be used to promote President Obama's stimulus bill.

However, last month Emanuel, who is now Chicago's mayor, denied knowledge of the $535 million federally guaranteed loan to the since-failed solar panel firm. When asked about the deal last month by WLS-AM Radio, the mayor replied, "I don't actually remember that or know about it."
