FBI and Capitol Police investigating assassination threat against Bobby Schilling

The FBI and the Capitol Police are investigating an assassination threat against Bobby Schilling (R-IL), a House freshman from the Quad Cities area.

"After receiving a very concerning email alert Tuesday evening, Rep. Schilling and his family are taking recommended precautions while the situation is investigated by relevant authorities," of the threat in an email alert Tuesday night, according to his spokeswoman, Andrea Pivarunas, Schilling's spokeswoman, wrote in an email to The Hill.

The threat message included a a $75,000 reward.

Schilling, who owns a popular Moline pizzeria, is a Washington rarity--a mild-mannered person. He and his wife are the parents of 10 children.
