Washington, D.C. (September 29, 2011) – The Workforce Fairness Institute (WFI) today released the following statement in response to the House Appropriations Committee's 2012 Labor, Health and Human Services funding bill:
"The House Appropriations Committee's funding bill sends a strong message to President Obama that the U.S. Congress will not stand by and allow his labor board to pursue policies that kill jobs and hurt American workers," said Fred Wszolek, spokesperson for the Workforce Fairness Institute (WFI). "Both the decrease in funding and provisions intend to prohibit the NLRB from instituting forced unionization through the formation of micro-units, elimination of the secret ballot, introduction of ambush election and establishment of electronic voting. This funding bill disallows Obama's labor board from punishing small businesses with excessive and burdensome regulations, and merits the support of both houses of Congress."
