Detroit native Mitt Romney is the victor of this weekend's Michigan Straw Poll run by the Republican Leadership Conference on Mackinac Island. The former Massachusetts governor captured 51 percent of the vote. Rick Perry finished in second with 17 percent, Herman Cain, who won yesterday's Florida P5 straw poll, ended up in third with nine percent.

Romney spoke to the group last night.

There was another contest with this straw poll--asking who should be the GOP vice presidential nominee. Florida Sen. Marco Rubio came out on top with 23 percent, Cain finished second.
