Statement by Pawlenty on Obama and NLRB

This afternoon in a truth-challenged press conference, President Obama essentially said his hands were tied in regards to the NLRB harrassment of Boeing, stating the board was "independent." But board member Craig Becker, and NLRB acting counsel Lafe Solomon, were put in their jobs when Obama used recess appointments, bypassing the Senate. Why doesn't Obama rescind the appointments?

Tim Pawlenty released a statement about Obama's non-answer:

President Obama's attempt to distance himself from the NLRB is a failure of leadership, or perhaps in their words, "leading from behind." The president's appointees on the NLRB attacking a major American business is just another example of the Obama Administration hindering job creation and economic growth. We need a President who will stand up to labor unions and embrace pro-growth economic policies. I did that in Minnesota and will do it in Washington.
