Pawlenty statement on Barbour withdrawal

Midnight Blue Says, Barbour, Marathon Pundit
The Republican presidential field won't include one of the nation's most effective governors, Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour. As I posted earlier today, Barbour announced that he won't running for president. Another outstanding executive, former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty, issued the following statement about the Barbour withdrawal:

Nobody has done more than Haley to build the Republican Party over the last three decades, including last year, when I had the privilege to be his vice chairman at the Republican Governors Association. He is one of the Republican Party's great leaders and an outstanding governor for Mississippi. When Republicans defeat Barack Obama next year, it will be thanks to the solid party foundation Haley helped build. We wish he and Marsha the best and thank them for all that they do for their state, their nation, and the Republican Party.
I had the pleasure to meet Governor Barbour at CPAC two months ago. Also pictured is my good friend Midnight Blue Says.

  1. You're right. Barbour wasn't the right man to run against Obama. It would have been the 'Old South' against the mulatto and while I'd vote for just about anyone to get rid of Obama, there are a lot of swing voters who might not have voted for Barbour for that reason.

  2. Before he took the decision he could talk with his family members and other party senior leaders i thought he is suitable for the next election as a Republican Nominee for the presidential election .
