It's official: There was no "recovery summer"

Last year Vice President Biden was touting something called "recovery summer." As in economic recovery. Americans were so unimpressed by Biden's claim that they returned control of the House of Representatives to the Republicans.

But just in case there was any doubt about this event, last week, while discussing the 2012 budget negotiations, President Obama made it official--there was no recovery summer.

If these budget negotiations break down, we could end up having to shut down the government, just at a time when the economy is starting to recover.

You got that? Starting to recover.
