California: Two new gasoline siphoning cases

The high cost of gasoline continues to inspire the criminal element. In southern California, a contractor has been hit four times by thieves who siphon gasoline from his trucks, costing his business nearly $10,000.

Up in the northern part of the state, two people were arrested on Monday for siphoning fuel. Police say the firm that owned the cars suspects that gasoline had been stolen on other occasions.

California is one of seven states where the averages price of gasoline tops $4 a gallon.
