Saudi election chief: We are not ready for women's suffrage

Municipal elections will take place next month in Saudi Arabia--but don't get excited, the Saudis won't allow a nationwide parliament. They also won't permit women to vote. Saudi Election Commissioner Abdul Rahman Al-Dahmash tells the Arab News, "We are not ready for the participation of women in these municipal elections."

But next time they can, he says.
