Bobby Schilling statement on Libya

Add Rep. Bobby Schilling (R-IL) to those who want an explanation of our mission in Libya from the president.

Washington, DC -- Congressman Bobby Schilling released the following statement in response to President Obama's authorization of U.S. military action in Libya:

I believe it is the commander in chief's responsibility to clearly articulate the mission in Libya with strong emphasis on how long and to what extent the United States military will be involved. Are we there solely to protect civilians or are we there to remove Gaddafi from power? There have been mixed messages coming from the White House and as a member of the House Armed Services Committee I firmly believe we must hear more from the president before further military commitments are made.
